What to Expect?

1. Hadimba Devi Temple – A Sacred Legacy Amidst Deodar Forests

Our journey begins at the Hadimba Devi Temple, a centuries-old wooden shrine nestled in a mystical cedar forest. Dedicated to Goddess Hadimba, the wife of Bhima from the Mahabharata, this temple is a revered pilgrimage site. The four-tiered pagoda-style architecture and intricately carved wooden doors transport you to an era of legend and devotion. Locals believe that Hadimba’s divine presence still protects the valley, making this an unmissable spiritual stop.

2. Old Manali – A Bohemian Escape by the Beas River

From Hadimba Temple, we take a short walk to Old Manali, a charming hamlet known for its quaint cafes, rustic wooden houses, and a relaxed vibe. The narrow lanes are lined with colorful shops selling handmade woolens, jewelry, and souvenirs. This is the perfect place to unwind with a cup of Himalayan herbal tea or a freshly baked pastry at one of the cozy cafes.

3. Jungle Walk – A Nature Lover’s Delight

Leaving the hustle behind, we embark on a 30-minute walk through a serene pine and deodar forest. The crisp mountain air, the scent of pine needles, and the gentle sound of birds create a truly meditative experience. Walking amidst towering trees, you’ll feel connected to nature in its purest form.

4. Mall Road – The Heartbeat of Manali

Emerging from the jungle, we arrive at Mall Road, the vibrant center of Manali. Bustling with energy, this street is home to local markets, food stalls, and Tibetan shops selling handmade crafts, woolen clothes, and souvenirs. It’s the perfect spot to shop for local handicrafts or indulge in some authentic Himachali snacks like Sidu (a steamed bread delicacy) and piping hot momos.

5. Vashisht Temple & Hot Water Springs – A Spiritual & Therapeutic Retreat

Our final stop takes us to Vashisht Temple, a sacred site dedicated to Sage Vashisht, one of the revered Saptarishis. This 4000-year-old temple houses naturally occurring hot water springs, known for their therapeutic properties. The mineral-rich water is believed to have healing benefits, and visitors often take a dip in the common bath area to rejuvenate their senses. This is the perfect way to relax and unwind after an eventful day.
